First Measure the Longest part of your room in Metres, Then measure the widest part of your room in Metres, add 200mm on the length and the width for waste, Then L X W = Area in M2

Remember carpet is available in 4m & 5m Widths & Cushion Vinyl is available in 2m, 3m & 4m Widths

Measure The Width of a step in Metres, Measure the Riser all the way upto the Tread in Metres (See diagram) for the length

Usually there is 12 steps so double check and times the length by how many steps there are

+ 50mm on each step to allow for adequate waste

Can you Lay Carpet on top of other flooring

Can you lay Carpet on top of other flooring?

Yes Carpet can be laid over existing vinyl if the vinyl is in good condition however it’s not recommended as it can become problematic when fitting.

Carpet SHOULDN’T be fitted on top of existing carpets or existing laminate flooring.

Do you need underlay under carpet

Do you need underlay under carpet

No you do not NEED underlay however if you’re looking for extra comfort, warmth, Noise Reduction, a longer lifespan  & potential  reduction in heat loss then underlay is definitely for you!

Cutting carpet is down to personal preference, you may find it easier to fold your carpet back and cut tightly to skirting boards then use a bolster chisel to knock the carpet down between the skirting boards and gripper rods.

How do i know if my floor needs latexing

How do i know if my floor needs latexing

Latex is used to remove undulations from the floor and give you a smooth surface to apply new adhesive to as it is not recommended to apply adhesive over old adhesive as they can react- this being said if your floor is clean and smooth you can install your flooring without latex.

Do i need to unroll the carpet/vinyl prior to fitting

Do i need to unroll the carpet/vinyl prior to fitting

Ideally YES it should be left unrolled in the area it will be fitted for around 24hours. This gives it time to acclimatize to the rooms Temperature and Humidity, doing this helps in preventing wrinkles and easier stretching when fitting.

Ensure the Room is hoovered and clean prior to unrolling!

How do I know what pile is most suitable for my room

How do i know what pile is most suitable for my room

A low pile is usually more durable and easier to clean. Ideal for hallways and entrance ways. High pile is more luxurious and softer under the foot most ideal for living rooms and bedrooms. A medium pile meets in the middle and can be used in various spaces.

Yes we offer FREE samples delivered straight to your door, these can be found in our shop- Please note only 3 can be ordered per manufacturer.

Deliveries

Deliveries

Delivery varies on the quantity required and type of flooring ordered, all orders will be followed by an email confirmation and a tracking number will be provided once the item is dispatched. On average delivery is between 5 – 10 Working days (Please note some items may be special order resulting in a longer delivery time) Some of our products can be collected from pick up points, for more information on these pick up points please email us on info@floorsureltd.co.uk

Returns

Returns

Please contact us ASAP to discuss returns, some of our items cannot be returned. However if a return is needed this will incur a 30% restocking charge, Once returns are received back to us and inspected a refund will be organised- however hopefully you will not need to return any of our items. WE ALWAYS ADVISE CUSTOMERS TO OBTAIN SAMPLES FIRST!
